The Sadness of the See’er
there is a certain sadness
in the eyes of those who see
the fear and growing madness
of knowing what will be
they look around and see the world
for what it is and will become
they dread the fate of little girls
and mourn for every son
who to tell and what to say
a heavy weight to bare
they walk a lonely road all day
in search of those who care
let them with ears hear the words
impossible to tell
and those with eyes to see the truth
someone to succour them in hell
